I took a couple of years off performing when I went back home to Malaysia.

I started performing again at Ruby's in Champaign after I got back to the United States. One night while visiting the bistro in Bloomington, I was approached by the infamous Anita Mann. She offered an offer no one could resist: to be a member of her glamourous House of Mann. She'd been looking for an Asian face to add to her family and had always thought the name Malaysia Mann has a nice ring to it. What a coincidence! I am from Malaysia. Without hesitation, I became Malaysia Mann and turned House of Mann into the International House of Mann.

What's so special about me, you might ask. I am different from any of the female impersonators you might have seen in the Central Illinois area. I am Asian, demure, and as many people would say, I look 'fish.' I thought I'd give the world of female impersonation something different to look at. I also offer different kind of performance to the audience. I always try to introduce Asian culture to the audience. Either through my Asian-inspired costumes, or through my Asian number (God knows we don't need to see tired Christina Aguilera songs over and over again). A lot of people told me they enjoyed seeing something different. And different is what I'm all about.
